Court Three
Court Three is a family business, owned and run by us (Mark and Daniel Norman) alongside our sister Lisa. From as early as we can remember, all we ever wanted to do was be graphic designers and, in fact, it was so long ago that graphic design was still known as commercial art.
We started the business in 1998 and our first office was in Welling, South East London, our home town. Rather unusually, the studio was on a converted squash court – court number 3 of 4 to be precise (hence the name). We spent many successful years there but eventually outgrew it and had to move on.
We're still in the suburbs of London, only a few miles from where we began. Family ties kept us tethered and we wouldn't have it any other way. Our team is now made up of talented designers, coders, motion graphic specialists and illustrators. We work with businesses of all sizes all over the world and are as passionate about design today as we've ever been.
Why do we talk about loving the problem? Well, finding a truly creative (yet practical) solution to a design challenge is no mean feat.
After 27 years in the business, we've learned a simple trick: "love the problem".
When you love something, it's always on your mind. You talk about it all the time and lay awake at night thinking about it.
We think this devotion makes the solution all the more beautiful, complete and satisfying. And you'll see that love and devotion in our work.
